Although the Lighthouse Point Library building is currently CLOSED to walk-in visitors, many Library services are still OPEN.

Your hometown librarians are just a phone call away. Staff are here to help with inquires including reserving materials, reference, research, eBooks, and general information.
Curbside Takeout Service OPEN Monday-Friday 10am-4pm.
The Library’s popular Curbside Takeout Service is OPEN. Patrons can reserve items by phone or online and staff will contact you to schedule a pick-up time. Items requested before 3pm Monday – Friday will be ready the next business day. Items requested after 3pm, on weekends, or on holidays may take additional business days. Materials takeout service gives patrons access to the entire library collection in a safe manner while the City Hall/Library building is closed to walk-in visitors.

Youth ONLINE Library Programs
Registration for Library youth online programs is open. Programs include Story Time, STEAM (Labs and Story Arts), Coding, and 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten. Go to Programs in the navigation menu for more information about programs and registration.
Learn Origami Program for All Ages
No registration needed. Weekly grab and go templates with origami paper will be in front of the Library during takeout hours.
StoryWalk® For All Ages – NEW book installed on 01/15/21!
What is a StoryWalk®? It is an innovative way for children and adults to enjoy picture books, reading, the outdoors, and exercise all at the same time! The Library’s StoryWalk® is on the sand trail in De Groff Park (daylight hours, parking is limited). This project is sponsored by the Friends of the Library and the City of Lighthouse Point.

Outdoor Dropbox (returning Library books)
The Library’s Outdoor Drop Box is OPEN 24/7 for Lighthouse Point Library materials returns. Please remember ALL returned Library materials will show on your account for a minimum of 72-hours AFTER being placed in the drop box. And you will not receive late fees during this quarantine time. For information on the Library’s disinfecting process, quarantine times, and safety procedures for returned materials please visit the “How we clean returned Library materials” button on our home page.
Donation of Books and Materials
The Friends of the Library are currently unable to accept any book or materials donations. Due to safety concerns, any donation left outside of the building, in the drop box, or on the grounds must immediately be sent to the dumpsters.
Little Free Library in Dan Witt Park
Is currently closed. This program will resume when construction at Dan Witt Park is completed.

Library Building
Most municipal library buildings in Broward continue to be closed to walk-in visitors. This includes the building housing the Lighthouse Point Library and City Hall. Library and City staff continue to work tirelessly preparing the building for a “new normal”. Each have expressed how much they are looking forward to the day they can welcome patrons back INTO the Library. Until then, Library staff are available Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (closed holidays) to assist you by phone.
